This policy explains what information MAKO Marketing ("MAKO", "we", "us") — a marketing and technology studio based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India — collects when you visit marketingmako.com or engage us for work, how we use it, and your rights. MAKO Marketing is the Data Fiduciary for information collected through this website.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details you send us through WhatsApp, email or our Calendly booking link — typically your name, phone number, email address, business name and a description of what you need. This website has no contact form; every enquiry route hands you off to WhatsApp, email or Calendly, each of which has its own privacy terms.
  • Project information shared during an engagement, which may include access credentials, brand assets, ad-account access and analytics access that you choose to grant us.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard request data — IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamp and referring page — for security and reliability. We do not run website analytics on marketingmako.com.
  • Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (Google LLC). Your browser makes a request to Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) to fetch them, which discloses your IP address to Google; Google may log that request under its own policies.
  • Cookies — see section 5.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or proposal.
  • To deliver, manage and support work you engage us for.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website.
  • To send you project updates and, only if you have opted in, occasional updates about our services. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to you.

3. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the studio and deliver your project, and only as needed:

  • Hosting — Hostinger (this website and its server logs).
  • Communication and scheduling — WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), Google (email), Calendly.
  • Fonts — Google Fonts (Google LLC), as described in section 1.
  • Advertising platforms — Meta and Google — only when you have engaged us to run campaigns, and only using access you grant on your own accounts.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

4. Retention

  • Enquiries that don't become projects — kept up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Active project material and communications — kept for the engagement and up to 12 months after it ends.
  • Access credentials you share — deleted or rotated as soon as they are no longer needed for the work.
  • Invoices and tax records — kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 8 years).
  • Server logs — retained by Hostinger under its own retention schedule (typically a few weeks to months).

5. Cookies

marketingmako.com sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics cookies. Third-party services you choose to use (WhatsApp, Google, Calendly) set their own cookies under their own policies.

6. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
  • Correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erase data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected;
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity;
  • Raise a grievance about how we have handled your data.

To exercise any of these, or to raise a grievance, email our grievance contact at makoworksmarketing@gmail.com. We will acknowledge within 7 days and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including limiting who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

This site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above will change and, for material changes, we will make it prominent on this page.
